Born in Bomet County of the Great Rift Valley, Eric grew up in an area rich in wildlife and amazing landscape. His close association with nature from the very beginning of his formative years, led him to develop a deep love and interest in wildlife and tourism early on in life. This interest translated into him joining a wildlife club for the entirety of his schooling. After finishing his education, Eric joined the Kenya Institute of Tourism and Hospitality to earn his diploma in Tour Guide and Driver Operations and Administration. With a course in Ornithology, Eric is also a qualified member of Nature Kenya and Kenya Professional Safari Guide Association. Honing his skills in the field while working with reputed game reserves in Kenya, Eric has an extensive knowledge of the African flora and fauna. His years of experience has expanded his guiding skills and safari expertise and today he works with well acclaimed International photographers.

SHIVANG MEHTA - Photographer/Mentor

A keen journalist and later a successful PR professional consulting with some of the biggest Indian and International brands, Shivang discovered  his love for nature and photography in the surreal forests of Jim Corbett National Park. He first worked there in a campsite located in the park outskirts. But soon after, he left the comforts of a corporate life and delved deep inside the forests of India. Working in the thick of wildlife, Nature Wanderers was formed in 2007, becoming a pioneering organization in leading wildlife photography tours. Shivang has conducted more than 400 wildlife tours and workshops in both India and Africa. Mentoring numerous young photographers, Shivang has worked extensively with Internationally acclaimed filmmakers and wildlife channels. A widely published photographer and writer, Shivang’s first book was aptly titled ‘A Decade with Tigers.’ With many National and International recognitions and awards and thousands of hours spent in numerous forests, Shivang Mehta, along with Nature Wanderers, provide a hands on guidance to both professional and amateur photographers both in Indian and International wildlife destinations.

With her amazing sense and passion for wildlife, Kahini formed Nature Wanderers with the aim of sharing her love for all things wild with the world, through the art of photography. Apart from being the brain behind planning and executing all the photography tours and workshops conducted by the Nature Wanderers mentors, Kahini was named as one of the Women of the Year with Offbeat Professions by Femina in 2008. Creating her own path and breaking notions about women in the professional field of wildlife, Kahini strongly believes that following your heart will lead you to success. Running one of the pioneering companies in the field of wildlife photography, Kahini has paved way for the younger generation to follow on her footsteps to make a profession out of one’s passion.

RANJAN RAMCHANDANI - Photographer/Mentor

A Singapore based photographer and author, Ranjan’s work features digital art, with a special focus in wildlife photography, along with portraiture, street and landscape images. Calling himself a life long student of photography, Ranjan doesn’t categorise himself under a specific genre and his diverse portfolio speaks volumes. Believing photography to be an art form and a true medium of self expression, Ranjan studied photography in school and later graduated from the New York Institute of Photography. His natural flair for the subject created a strong base which he further enhanced through workshops and self learning, along with going for photography expeditions around the world.  His first coffee table book, ‘ Swades; Ladakh: The Land of Splendour,’ was inspired by his travels in Ladakh, India. With numerous International recognitions, awards, publication and exhibitions, Ranjan strongly believes photography to be a learning process.
